Hi,
one month ago I started the process for PR with Quebec and submitted the test for Quebec values. Of course no CSQ has been sent already.
In the meantime, I got a OINP nomination for Ontario.
Discussing this with my family we decided to stay in Ontario where we currently leave (work permit).
Is the application done for Quebec going to be a problem or interfere with the one for Ontario, considering that none of the 2 is still with IRCC?
Should I withdraw the one for Quebec? How? I went on the Arrima portal but I could not find a way to withdraw.

Thank you for your advice

Hmm, yes, isn't there a pause for the time being? https://www.cicnews.com/2025/07/wha...tions-now-that-the-peq-is-closed-0757279.html Not understanding how you did this "last month" (August) considering the pause happened a couple of months prior.

Congratulations!

Yes, I think so - will say more on the why below. But as to the how, see this earlier thread: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-i...ct-csq-application-and-get-the-refund.508179/

The TLDR - write a letter to the relevant office via postal mail requesting to withdraw and explaining the reason why (i.e. that you have an offer to live in Ontario and your family agrees and will be living with you there).

In 2017 this was the office, but see if you can confirm if this is still current or if they've moved.

My understanding is yes, it will be. The federal gov't and the provincial gov't of Quebec do communicate, and if IRCC somehow becomes aware of an open and active PEQ application, then that will raise questions about the intent to reside outside of Quebec. On the other hand, if you are asked about this by IRCC and you can send them a copy of the letter to Quebec about requesting withdrawal and a tracking number showing that the original letter was in fact mailed to them, that'll probably help to show that you aren't trying both routes at the same time and really have lost your original intent (to live in Quebec).
