Hi,

I submitted my profile as it was (without a Provincial Nomination). Then I received a message that it was accepted into the Entry Pool, and then a couple of weeks later I got a letter saying I was invited to apply for permanent residency.
Along with that last message, I also noticed a message from Ontario saying they would like to consider me for the Nominee program.

My understanding was that the benefit of being a nominee was that it would give you 600 points, making it more likely to get an ITA. However, since I was already invited, I would like to know if there is a benefit to it? or what are the cons. I have been trying to find more readings on this case, but I have failed. Any advice and links are welcome.

Thanks for the help in advance!

You do not have to do anything regarding the PNP, just go ahead with your EE ITA. As I understand PNP is a lengthy process but will guarantee you an invite but since you already have one in hand it is redundant.

The whole point of the nomination is to receive an ITA.
Now, you have one in hand.
So, you should withdraw your application and let someone else take this nomination. You also should get a refund. And, your processing time is less.
I read somewhere here also that if you don't withdraw your application after getting an ITA, you will not get nomination anyway as they will know that you have already received an ITA.

Great, thank you! Just making sure there wasn't any additional pro

The biggest con of a pnp is it restricts you to a place for a certain period of years. If once you reach there for any reason you decide the city isn't working for (weather, costs, job etc etc) you can't relocate to any other place if ur on a pnp PR ..

Biggest pro obviously is the bump in score...but u already have an ITA so that should be your preference
