I am opening this new thread to know the progress on PR applications which were filed from USA (buffalo, NY Visa office of CIC).

Please take some time off and provide your experience like, when did you sent first application to CIC and/or CIO (under new process).

What is timeline for each stage in buffalo, I heard processing time from USA is less as compared to other part of the world??

I applied on november 14th 2008. Received AOR on March 18th 2009. Am now waiting to hear from them. My occupation is in the 38 occupations but I sent my application before the new procedure was announced. So I sent my whole application packet complete along with documents to the Buffalo consulate.

Well, fren of my applied to CIO(new process) under FSW(0213) and was asked to submit the application to CIC-bufallo.
All this happend with-in one month of sending first application to CIO.

Received AOR and File#: April 01, 2009
Current Status: In process

I got my aor on 3rd March. And when I check my status online it says in process. Any idea how long will it take from this point onward for medical and subsequently PR. And my second question, do I need to worry now or I am kind of safe now, and wont have any problems or quesntion after this stage. Please let me know.

does any one know how much is the cost of medical for each member (adult and kid ) in USA.
Is it same across the state or varies betn NY,CA,WA ???

no its not, the cost is somewhere on this forum. if you do a search, you'd find it. I think it varies somewhat.

Hi, I applied April 08, received AOR on June 08 and heard nothing since. I do have job offer and saw on the tracker website people who applied after me already received medical...I am soo confused with timing myself.

Just want to know how much time Sydney NS office takes to give their decision.

Also any case under '0213' got confirmation from Sydney NS ?

complete application date - 17jan 2008
IELTS - may 2008
medicals done -23 feb 2009
passport request -april 2009
Current Status: COPr of Canada and passport received wth stamp on it on may 9 2009

Sent application to Sydney NS on 8th May-09, package recieved by CIO office on 13th May-09 morning.
Applied under '0213'. Expecting any news from Sydney NS CIO office by end of June.

Started collecting PCC's, IELTS (taken date 06/27),Birth Certificate and Bank Statements.

Hoping good.

I have another application running under AINP ( sent on 03/06 but thats taking forever, hence started this new process also)
