Online TRV application from Germany ( Kind att : Bryanna and Seniors )

Hi Bryanna,

I am ready to submit my Online TRV (Visitor) application.
I am Permanent Resident of Germany
Nearest Visa office : Vienna, AUSTRIA, still i opt for ONLINE

Documents attached -
Passport New and OLD with Travel history ( UK, Swiss, Spain, France, Singapore, Multiple trips to India )
German Resident Card
4 months Salary Slips and Tax returns of last 4 years
Bank Balance approx 9,500 CAD ( 4 months )
Permanent job offer with leave approval ( maximum stay will be 2 weeks )
Sister's Official College Invitation letter to attend Convocation Ceremony.
Sister's Passport and Visa copy

Do i still need to attach birth certificate as well ??


Can you please guide me any additional documents to attach as Home ties etc..?

Important : My almost all documents are in German, if incase i translate them all it will cost me hundreds of euros.. so instead, I am marking a small comments in PDF files to make it understand for VO ( will it be accepted by VO ? )

Visits to India won't count as travel history.

You would need to include a Travel History explanation for the last 10 years of travel (tabular format): Visa details + entry/exit dates + purpose of each visit + scan/include any valid visas

Do include evidence of your other ties to Germany:
1. Employment: Bank statement to which your salary is credited

2. Property ownership or a lease in your name

3. Family ties to Germany and/or India + financial dependence of family members on you (for example, your parents)

4. Financial investments in Germany and/or India + credit cards with 2-3 months statements

5. Any scheduled critical personal or work-related commitments to return to after your intended visit

Copies of your sister's and your passports that state your parents' names.... else, birth certificates of both.... for proof of relationship.

Documents in German won't be accepted, nor will the comments marked by you.

All documents must be in English/French or else translated into English/French by a certified translator

I'm sorry. I don't have any formats for these documents. Maybe you can Google.

Yes. Do include your bank statement from where you pay the rent.

Yes, bank transfers or any other official transfers for money sent to your parents + an explanation

Combine all documents that cannot be uploaded to any specific field as a single PDF and upload to LOE/Optional.

Possible promotion, project completion, wedding in the immediate family, etc..... with evidence.

Yes, this is a good reason to return to Germany. Do include evidence.

Not a good idea. IRCC clearly mentions that all documents must be in English or French.

Also, you would be applying online. You won't know which global visa office will process your application. You have a strong application, but IMO you are risking a TRV refusal by not submitting documents translated into English

If i apply paper application, then my VO will be Canadian Embassy in Vienna, AUSTRIA & hence German is an austria's official language so most probably chances to accept german documents.

It won't cost you hundreds of Euros to have the documents translated. That's an exaggeration.

I know as a fact that all visa staff may be not be locals/may not speak the local language.


It's simple:
IRCC needs documents in English/French. It doesn't say that local language documents will be considered if a paper application is submitted to the local visa office.

If the visa staff who first check your application + later the visa officer.... don't know German, you'll get a refusal pretty quickly. IMO, it's penny wise, pound foolish. Your call

Many Thanks for the advice.

I am going with your decision infact i am forwarding my documents to certified transaltor today in Berlin.

just a small query as follow :

Salary slips 4 months ( Should i translate all 4 months or any latest one will be enough and rest to upload originals, as they all have same format )

Job contract i will do all pages

leave approval 1 page

Tax returns again 4 years( 4 pages ) with same format except tax amount figures ( should i do 1 or all 4 )

Important : As my country of residence is Germany. BUT local VO is Vienna, AUSTRIA for German residents

while checking online CIC website as shows "from where are you applying" if i mention Country - Germany then processing time is 9 days

But when i mention "I am applying from AUSTRIA" is shows 21 days.. ( as nearest local visa office for German residents )

So my question is either it will be 9 days OR 21 days ???

It will be neither. These are estimated processing times. Actual processing could be much faster/take much longer.

That said, if you apply online, you must consider the estimated processing time of 9 days. And, it is entirely possible that your application might not be processed by the Vienna visa office (except for visa stamping)
