Online Business?

Hi everyone.

I was wondering if with my work permit I'm allowed to start some kind of online business?

I used to sell e-books in my country of origin through PayPal, but now I'm not sure if I'm allowed to do it here even if I have a work permit.

I would appreciate if someone could help me.
