did you apply thru paper based? you said you got 60 days from submission? my official documents from a Canadian Univ will arrive next week. If i submit the documents by end of next week can I still catch up the start of the September Fall Semester assuming I am given a student permit?

There's a checklist in the website of the Canadian Embassy in Manila on the requirements. There are also descriptions of the documents required for paper applications. Just follow the instructions and provide the documents and I'm sure you'll get your visa. Please also take note of the average handling time for student visa application. It's a long 15 weeks. So if you're applying for the Fall Term, you should apply before April ends.

i have been accepted in a Canadian univ. my official document from the university has not arrived yet maybe May 22. if i submit my application documents for student permit to the embassy before end of the May can i still catch up the Fall semester?

I'll be submitting my application within this week. I am still waiting for my new passport since it is a requirement that my passport must be valid for the entire duration my study, which is 4 years. Wow! 40 days is really faster compared to 15 weeks. Thanks for the info!

I think mas matagal pa ang online application kesa sa paper based :'(. Wala pa akong nakikitang approve sa mga nag online application although yun iba after a day na ma receive nila AOR may medical na. Sa mga paper based ang pinakamadali ay 1 month and ang time nila sa visa is 21 days after medical.

regarding sa medical, dati 3 days up to 1 week lang ang timeframe but now 1 to 2 months na. hayyyy....

you mean paper based is faster nowadays based on your experience compared to online application? i will submit my application in the embassy by end of next week for Fall semester 2013. do you think i can still catch up

where did you apply? in Manila? was it paper based?

No its from Bangladesh and it was online. Online application takes pretty much same time just you get to submit the application from sitting at home But is faster for some people

@Boston: Yes, I got admission from the University of Calgary. My admission letter was sent via email. No, I am still to receive my medical request. I applied for my visa via online facility last April 19 and until now the only notification I have is that my application was successfully lodged. There's nothing you can do but try to apply. Just make sure you submit all required documents correctly to avoid delays.

i am accepted in the Univ of Saskatchewan for the Master in Sustainable Environmental Management. What;s your course. Were you able to get SP already. I havent applied yet because the documents from US hasnt arrived yet.
