Hi guys,
If I completed a one-year post-secondary
educational program in Canada, I qualify for a
one-year open work permit under the Post-
Graduation Work Permit program.
So,can I use that one year work experience for CEC?
regards

theoretically yes.

CEC is coming to an end. wait for the new program to be announced and then decide how to use your work permit.
Thanks byrwus for the reply.
When they are closing CEC?

Actually,I just want to know that my one year experience (on PGWP) will be acceptable for CEC after completing one year post-secondary education in Canada.

Definitely professional work experience (NOC 0,A,B) gained on PGWP counts toward CEC, but be warned - for CEC you must gain at least 1 year of full-time work. Few days less than 1 year and you might be rejected.

Thanks pfse.

With the upcoming changes for CEC in 2015, no one can answer this question with a 100% surety. You will just have to wait until 2015 to see what new rules are in place for CEC.
