Hello,
I intend to go to Humber college for a 1yr certificate. My spouse will get a work visa for one year and i will be able to get canadian work experience for a couple of months.
when the year is finished, we want to apply for PR through his work experience.
Is there any way to extand the work permit so we dont have to leave Canada and could stay there during the processing of our application?

Can it be done only through the employer or is there another way?

Also, is a year of college enough for applying to the PROVINCIAL NOMINEE PROGRAM in Ontario for graduate students or does it have to be a full MA?
Thank you for the reply.

yES,now there are some bridging visas available for those who are applied for any CEC/PNP programs and those are on its processing period.

please check this at CIC website.

thank you

No - a year of college will certainly not be accepted for the Ontario PNP program.

Even if it is a graduate certificate - you still don't qualify. A graduate certificate is not the equivalent of a Masters. Not even close.
