Hey all,
Please let me know if a person requires 1 year of work experience at the same company to apply for express entry OR a person can have 1 year worth of experience at 2 different companies with 2 different NOC codes and job responsibilities.

i got laid off from the first job (Application Engineer) after 2 months and now i have been working as mechanical engineer for 10 months at a different company

regards
Fahad Ameen

You must have at least 1 year experience on one NOC to be qualified for CEC (primary NOC). If your job duty of two positions are sufficiently similar and could be covered under one NOC then should be fine; otherwise you need to be careful.

That's incorrect. For CEC the work experience doesn't all have to be under one NOC. Howevever all of the work experience does have to be skilled (NOC A, B or 0). Also, the work experience does not have to be continuous.

For FSW/EE, the work experience has to be under one single NOC and also continuous.
