Hello everyone,
my brother is going to canada in a visitor visa for an internship of 4 months, about 1400 CAD/month is given as stipend to him. is this enough or does he need to show his financial documents as well. we discussed this with visa counselors here locally through consultancies and they said that we need to show 25 lakh INR as annual income and have at least 15 lakh INR in bank account. but since both our parents dont have that sort of money in the bank account, they suggested to show a one day balance statement while proving all the income sources. what are his chances of getting the visa accepted like this. the internship is paid but the airfares and other extra are not included.

What are "extras" - food, living, insurance, sight seeing, transportation? $1400 stipend is low. Usually if coming on a visitor visa you want to show at least $10k cash in personal accounts for a 2-3 week visit.

He needs to show personal bank statements. If under 22, he can include parents statements and payslips to prove income.

When does internship start? Where applying from?

this is a program at university of regina, with quite less living expenses. so 1400 cad/month would be more than enough for rent, food, etc. as claimed by his seniors studying masters there on the same amount of stipend. He is 23 yo now. I live in Australia on TRV working as a construction engineer. so is it possible that i transfer around 10 12k CAD into his account and sign it as a gift deed.
the internship starts from nov to february, only a 4 month internship.

Ok so not a minor. So he has a place to stay and has proof that $1400 will cover rent, food, utilities, phone etc. He is in a furnished place so no need for furniture/cooking utensils/towels/sheets. Coming in the middle of winter so assume he has winter clothes. Transportation, health insurance are included.

You can do a notarized gift deed but transfer the funds now. He still may not have enough money for IRCC.

Where is he applying from? He is coming to Regina at the absolute worst time of the year.
