on work permit in Canada, where do I apply?

Hi,

I am currently on a work permit (Sept 2006 - Sept 2008) and have been in Canada since last September. I wanted to know which office would my application go to? Home country or Buffalo?

Any insight would be appreciated.

If you need a US visa and don't have one, I would suggest you apply to your home country rather than Buffalo. If you don't have a US visitor visa and you have to attend an interview, the US will not usually issue one. But it is your choice, check the processing times for both offices.

i want to ask from where you applied for the work permit ? i am actually in the uk nd applied from Global Visas just 20 days ago.i have applied as a customers sales assistant from 2005- till date. kindly let me know the procedure to apply for work permit as many of my friends are against global visas but i gave them my case in a hurry.PLz do reply.thanks
