On entry as a visitor to Canada, is it mandatory to have a return ticket?

My mother will be coming to Canada in September. Just wondering if it is required to get a two way ticket?
She got her visitor visa for 10 years and can stay for 6 months at a stretch. She will return on 4th or 5th month but didn't decided yet. So if I get her on a one way ticket to Canada, is there any chance she will be denied entry?

One way ticket is usually more expensive and border officers likes to ask if visitors have return ticket.
