on campus or off campus accomodation

hello guys,
I will be joining fanshawe college this month end. please advice me about the accommodation to be taken. I have heard that students cannot work for the first six month off campus. considering this and the other expenses, college hostel or outside sharing accommodation will be affordable for students?
please share your suggestions.

But it is better to group up with 2-3 friends/classmates and find an accommodation near college. Its a much cheaper option than staying on campus. You expenses will come down by a few hundreds.

kijiji.ca is a good website where you can find an apartment or house to share with roommates or for staying on your own.

Apart from this there are other sites like roomster.com, roommates.ca, easyroommate.com and ca.roommates.com.

Do not finalise anything from back home, make sure you have visited the place or somehow you know can visit it on your behalf.

I wil be landing in london on 28th night. But how can i visit the place as i will need the accomodation from the same day. How to choose a good one before visiting there? What is the reasonable average rent per month?

Fanshawe college is providing complimentary accommodation for three days to all international students, get in touch with international department to book yours and within those three days you can look for a place.
