OLD IN PROCESS VS NEW IN PROCESS ON ECAS EXPLAINED

eagle, i'm not sure whether this is the case. i've looked at a couple other threads on the forum and it seems everyone who has gotten sponsor approval is now seeing DM under their ECAS sponsor status.

Yes, ours changed to DM on Sponsor Side and is still In Process on PA side on ECAS. I got notification of SA by mail in May.

We were requested for an interview and it hasn't happened yet so I don't believe there is any change in our case.

There are so many things that happened on that day when ecas had a problem.

There are 2 people who were waiting visas after their passports were submitted to their visa offices. Both of these people saw their SPONSORSHIP APPLICATIONS STATUS side changed from DECISION MADE to IN PROCESS while PERMANENT RESIDENCE APPLICATION STATUS side remained IN PROCESS. So they have both sides displaying IN PROCESS. Now one of them received a phone call from the visa office saying visa is ready for pick up, for the other couple got an email today for PTT pick up too.

Now I did not say everyone who saw their sponsorship status changed from IN PROCESS to DECISION made will get visas, because it depends how far your PR application has reached.

There are so many things that happened on that day when ecas had a problem.

perhaps the two examples you mentioned may have just been coincidence? CIC sends out all of PPRs every single day, and maybe it just so happened that those people got their PPRs the same day CIC made changes to ECAS. i am just guessing though.

my case is particularly sad. i also see DM on the sponsor side, but GCMS notes still show "not started" for every assessment. it has been 9 months since i submitted my application to sponsor my wife. london visa office used to take 11-12 months to process applications, and i am worried that since they didn't start anything yet, maybe they will take even longer than 11-12 months for me.

I had decision made on sponsership and waiting on passport for 3 months plus now. Hope its a good sign that we will be getting it back soon.

Eagle, we have just recently received an email from Manila immigration for "pre arrival services". I find this quite odd as other people received this after ppr but we received ours before PPR was requested. Do you have any insight on this?
