Hi all

I'm opening this thread because I'm seeing some comments about it in different threads.

Let's connect here.

I'm old CEC September 2015 applicant, AOR February 2015 and nothing else yet (16 months)

Applied EE-CEC October 2015, application approved and Passport request January 2016 (less than 3 months).

Thank you for your dedication to start this thread to help those who are undergoing the same approach!

You're very welcome

I really know how hard it's for all of us the CEC procedure.

I was reaching my 4the year as TFW with no hope to obtain CEC PR for one more year or who knows.

Fortunately EE worked for me

Just for the record, BOWP can go beyond the 4-year TFW limit under exemption code A-75.
I am currently on my 5th year of work permit after university and before getting PR ;D
After my PGWP I had no PNP nomination, no AOR and ofc, no LMIA, was really running out of options. Fortunately I was married and got approved with marriage certificate for SOWP- spousal open WP for 1 year.

Yeah, I know about BOWP, in fact I applied for in December 2015

But after regular WP expires I couldn't use LMIA 600 points for EE, so I wanted to apply before that.

However I was tired to be TFW, cannot apply for a different position with my employeresume and more limitations we all know, I wanted the PR just to don't need to worry about inmigration status and don't Temporary anymore

Congratulations for your marriage!

Hi All,
I am an October applicant under old CEC. AOR received Feb 2015. Since then, got nothing.

I received an ITA to apply yesterday and I'm in the process of finishing up my application.

if someone can give me some answers to the following question that would be much appreciated.

1: Certificate of Qualification. I don't have one. Is it mandatory?
2: Proof of education? is scanning my diploma enough?
3: Job offer. I have a job right now with an open ended contract. I been there for a year and I foresee that I will be there at least for anther year. The requirement state that it has to be permanent job. What is my situation regarding that matter?

Thanks for all the help in advance

1. For EE-CEC isn't mandatory.
2. Yes, but need translation to english
3. You should explain your company why you need a full time permanent position job offer and request it. Be sure offer states full time, permanent position when obtain PR.

What If I can't get such a letter? I'm hired through an agency. which I think legally they will not give me a letter stating "Permanent".

Also, I graduated from Canada. So I'm assuming no translation needed

Canadian graduated don't need translation obviously.

I'm not sure if this job offer is mandatory, but I think so, I need to review the application process or create a new profile to see that.

When you filled out your EE profile, what was your answer to the question about the job offer?
If you answer was not job offer and profile was invited you'll be good, probably
If your answer was yes, you'll need it.

Perhaps a job offer from other company it's OK, I remember the profile was asking about it too.

Looks like job offer isn't a basic requirement
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/apply-who.asp

So if your profile said no job offer and ITA was received should be OK, I guess, but I'm not too sure about it, I provided job offer for both old and EE applications.

Assuming isn't mandatory

If your profile said job offer available and you fails to provide it, you'll lose the points obtained for that.
If your remaining points are equal or more than your drawn cut-off your application will be processed, otherwise will be rejected.

Take a look to the EE forum, you can find more information about it, probably

Thank you so much for your clear clarification. I answered NO in my initial application. So I should be ok.

Gregor,

I'm a September 2014 CEC applicant - 3 year TFW. I'm now considering the alternative to apply through the EE as well. I got a positive LMO in 2013 being sponsored by a Canadian company.

Questions for you:
- did you get an LMIA or an LMO? When did you get it and how long was its validity?
- after you received the ITA, did you have to give up the old CEC application? If not, when did you withdrawn your old CEC application?

Thanks

My last LMO was used for my current WP issued September 2014

I guess you'll get 600 points for LMO/LMIA just if your WP expires after apply EE

I was not asked to withdraw old application, in fact I'm going to do it now after get COPR
