I have a few queries in regards to the OINP program.

My brother got a invitation for BC PNP applied under the 0621 NOC code we are gathering his paper work now and are going to apply by next week for that .. at the same time he is also in the Express Entry pool with a CRS score of 435 now this is a dumb question and I probably already know the answer but is he eligible to apply under the OINP stream?

Yes

So he has an "intent to reside" in two provinces at the same time?

No he would reside in BC which i why i said it was a very dumb question.

Since the system tells you that once a nomination is accepted, other provinces cannot nominate you, implicitly that means that people can apply to multiple provinces. How does that work with the intentions, I am not sure. But yes you can apply to 2 and questions regarding that are in the application form of OINP.

if he resides in BC it would be very hard to convince OINP of his intention. I have read of one PFL related to that, OINP claiming that the person residing and working somewhere else does not have enough intention to move.

The question here is why does he want to spend on nominations when he can easily get an ITA in couple of months?

Yes you're correct which is what i doubted to begin with in the first place. The whole point of this program is to help the government of that province to find skilled workers that would reside there in the first place

He would be eligible for a nomination from ONIP. But once he accepts that he will have to forego the other i guess

It was just a doubt that got created in my mind since the recent trend has been where there has been a significant drop in scores compared to last year but with OINP opening god knows how it would impact the scores now. But anyhow this does clear my doubt.

Thank you for the help folks

I have a question. I have applied for oinp ict stream on July 5. My crs is 378. +2 experience, a bachelor degree on computer science. I haven't received the PT notification yet. Does it mean I'm rejected?
