My wife has just received her Invitation to Apply on her OINP profile, however, our implied status was declined last month in the end of March(we had already requested an extension, as the valid work permits expired in October 2025). We have stopped working immediately, but haven't applied to restore our status as Visitors yet. Our main question is, since we are still under the 90 days window, if we apply to restore our status and then apply through her OINP, would this be acceptable by the province as we have followed all laws and requirements up to this point?
We are going to reach out to her company so they can move ahead with the process, but are unsure if they both, will be able to, or if the province will see a problem since we are currently without status.
