Please note that the file referenced below has not been finalized yet.

Processing is taking longer than usual due the large number of applications in our inventory.
The OINP appreciates your patience as it works diligently to process the high-volume of applications received.

You will be contacted should further information/documentation be required or once the decision will be made.

Thank you for your patience.

These are all just generic answers. Don't be surprised if you get a different update the next time around!

This was exactly what I got. However, I never received an e-mail saying that my file has been referred to a senior PNP officer.

maybe they have beed sending these emails to decrese the number for calls and emails they receive. Althought , it's strange coz it does not provide any new information.

My IELTS expires in Feb 2017. I sooo hope get nomination by then and submit to CIC. Try to plan - worst case scenario let us say my application:

1 - Is being processed by CIC but is due to expire in Feb (while being processed), do I have to do another IELTS test before expiration although my application is being processed?

2 - I am nominated but have not submitted to CIC as yet. Would I still need to do over IELTS?

Thanks guys. I am sure I saw answers to this somewhere but clearly OINP has me not thinking straight!

Bottom line, you have to have a valid IELTS result by the time you submit the PR application to CIC. Even if the IELTS expires in the middle of CIC processing, it's fine, just as long as it was valid on your AOR/submission date.

Your EE profile will also be ineligible if you do not get an ITA before your IELTS expires.

OINP recommended to have the IELTS eligible for one year within applying, they at least better send nominations in due time.

Okay, today, I took some time out of my schedule and wrote to the premier of Ontario - Respected Kathleen Wynne. I'll keep you guys posted.

Good day!

That is good to know, Raj. Can you share the Premier's mail ID? Some of us can pitch in too.

I applied in December 2015,
In May I received an email saying your file in is in final stage. In July I received an email again saying your application is at second stage to be approved by Investigator Analyst.

How come my file went from last stage to second stage? :/

I had exactly the same! But emails in Feb and March, no progress since then..

Dear all, can we hope to hear some good news from November applicants before the end of July? :-[

Hello I am deeply worried. Kindly advise.

I failed to declare in my application to OINP the 'dependent child of my common law partner'. he will be turning 19 come Aug 03, but during the time I submitted my application I failed to include him. I am the principal applicant and included my commonlaw partner as dependent. He has no custody of the child and has no intention of petitioning him in the future. Will it have an adverse impact on our application? What will be the repercussions?

Problem is, if you don't declare and they find out - then it's a straight forward mis-representation. An absolutely No-No.

Rules say you have to declare all the dependents whether accompanying or not. Even if there is no custody, then also court documents have to be submitted to prove the same. The officers won't go by applicants words that they don't have custody or don't want to sponsor their dependents in future. For everything, OINP/IRCC will ask for rock solid documents with notarizations, translations, etc.

Suggest you to consult some immigration law firm.
