OINP Application sent in November 2015

Hi Piyush,

Did you hear anything from OINP on withdrawing your application ? did they return your package with draft or not ?

AFAIK Piyush did not hear anything from OINP yet, however he was able to cancel the DD and get the refund of the amount from his Bank yesterday.

Hey cjs - Yeah I have not heard from OINP regarding my application.

I went to ICICI and after a lengthy procedure got my DD cancelled on Thursday (18th February). The money (albeit a huge cut) was credited to me at about 6 PM IST yesterday.

Hopefully, that doesn't happen to anyone but unfortunately, yes, it is possible to get the application returned (if, of course, the application package is incomplete).

One quick question . I am actually represented by my Immigration consultant for the application to Oinp. If Oinp needs additional infomation or documents will they call me or my consultant?

I believe your consultant will get the e-mail!

IMO...it depends whose email id is there on the papers..... i used consultant but used my email id and didn't mention about using a consultant for EE...

i think being a amateur works well... rather than being helped by anyone..... though you can get help in the background but nvr mention it....

I believe that all DDs issued in India are valid for 6 months.

I had taken a DD on 21st October, 2015 (India/ICICI bank). It was cashed on 11th Feb, 2015 (from the receipt I got along with my AOR). Apparently, it was cashed on the 4th month.

Also, there was an Indian applicant who received AOR on the 5th month. His DD was cashed then.

So, relax people!

ICICI has a put a seal 'valid for 6 months' on my DD. It is definitely valid for 6 months

I may be wrong but I noticed that most AORs are issued wednesday-friday. So we should hear about more AORs for november lot in the next three days. May be the November lot will get all done with.

Hoping to hear few AORs for at least Nov 7-8th applicants in next couple of days. IMO, either OINP has lots of applications on their hands or they need to do something to improve their drastically slow processing approach!!
