OINP 2019 - Should we create new EE profiles?

Hi Guys,

So Ontario has started issuing NOIs for OINP with the first batch rolling out on 14th Jan. 2019. If you all remember, the last time, only those who created profiles in 2018 got issues NOIs. I myself have created my profile in DEC. 2017 and missed the boat even with a score of 438 while a bunch of peeps with lower scores got issued. So, my question is, should we create new EE profiles now in 2019 discarding the current ones? My current active EE profile is created in APR. 2018.

Please suggest. Anyone got OINP with 2018 profiles?

The OINP is adopting a different mode in 2019 based on the two draws done so far. Before now, they would only select profiles that were created in the year of the notification of interest. However, in 2019, they are selecting profiles created in the last one year of the notification of interest. So if they were to send notification of interests today, they would be selecting profiles created from 16th January 2018 to 16th January 2019. Therefore, to answer your question, you do not need to create a new profile if your profile was created within the last year of each day.

Hi,
I too have a similar confusion.
I have my account created in October last year, But based on all previous oinp draws so far it is observed that they are issuing noi's to accounts created after Jan 1st of the current year.
Should I create a new profile in that case? Or continue with old profile? Does the seniority of ee profile matter in such cases?
