AIP is for inland applicants. As an outland applicant, you don't qualify for OHIP until you actually land as a PR.
Oh I see,
ok, thanx for clarifications =(
Taking into account that the office in Warsaw, where my application is stuck, seems to have stopped working due to quarantine, it is long time to wait =(

PS: I have also received a letter of authorization for travel to Canada excempting current restrictions due to the pandemic - can this letter mean that they have checked my background and that I met the eligibility to apply for PR?

Hence why you should have obtained travel insurance before coming to Canada.

No, the letter has absolutely nothing to do with your PR app.

I do have insurance for a few months. It also covers COVID.
But OHIP will anyway be better because it will cover prenatal expenses and child-birth

You won't get OHIP until after you become a PR. With the current processing delays, that could very well be next year. The 3 month wait period will most likely be back in place this year. If you are currently pregnant, there is little chance of having OHIP by the time you give birth.

what is AIP? How to get it?
I have had my med test and fingerprints taken, sponsorship has also been approved. Since then docs have been transferred from Sydney to Warsaw, the second AoR has also been received.
Sponsorship hasn’t been approved yet. You should be purchasing private health insurance since it could be many months before you qualify for OHIP. The 3 month wait period will return at a certain point once again.

Has anyone applied for OHIP with new PR confirmation email letter? Was it accepted?

Yes, that is one thing required, to prove you are a PR. Use your passport as ID and then you need something that shows you home address. Utility bill, house rental/lease agreement.

Is a residential rental agreement made on plain papers?
