OHIP, losing my job and EI

I have a valid work permit and OHIP (validity till 2013). Recently however my contract with my employer ended (because currently there are no projects). My questions are:
1. Can I still use my OHIP even if I'm not working anymore...
2. I am planning to stay in Canada to wait for another project. Am I eligible for an EI?

Yes you can use your ohio.. And ei depends on how you got unemployed. If its not ur fault you can claim EI
