One of my friends from Whitby Ontario,
a Mar 2020 applicant received his fingerprint request from CIC Vancouver. This seems weird. Maybe they don’t need to assign to the closest office anymore as everything is virtual.

I've seen a few reported that they got FP request from Vancouver despite being in the GTA. I guess they are handling things differently than before now.

My FP request is from Vancouver, too. My office is Mississauga.

I had given my test on March 14th and Passed. As it was past 2 weeks, I called up IRCC today to check if my scores were approved and attached to my file. Unfortunately, it still shows as "In Progress" under test category on his computer.
Any one else have such delays in their scores being accepted ?
FYI, my processing center is Mississauga.

No official results were sent. Just so you know, from the date I did my test to receiving my oath invite was nearly 2 months. It was well over a month before receiving DM.

I've seen a few reported that they got FP request from Vancouver despite being in the GTA. I guess they are handling things differently than before now.

IRCC Vancouver is the designated office for FP requests as they have those special teams with expertise in this area.

Having said that, no need to worry as my understanding is that IRCC Vancouver electronically deals with local offices with regard to communications of FP results (or may be they update criminality field at their end in GCMS system). In my case, Vancouver office confirmed receipt of 2nd Fp on Wednesday and next Tuesday my ecas changed to DM.

My only advice to your friend is : get additional copy of FP sent to him/herself as this 2nd copy can be sent to Vancouver if 1st copy (from RCMp Ottawa to IRCC Vancouver) is delayed, lost or not received due to covid/backlog etc.

I took my test on the March 15th 2021 and except for the final result on the screen saying i passed. There has been no other update ever since. When I spoke with the IRCC contact center rep told me that the officers check the results only after the 21 day test window over, which in my case is April 4th 2021. **I am just quoting the contact center agent**

However, I have read on this forum that some applicants had their statuses changed to DM within a couple of days, way earlier that the 21 day period.

Even my processing center is Mississauga.
