I got an FP request on 19 Feb. I did FP on 20th Feb and today spoke to the IRCC agent. The agent told me that FP has been received. My FP request came from the Vancouver office.

The agent looked more optimistic than I thought - She said "my FP is received, assessed and check completed. Scarborough office will send you a test invite in a few days to a few weeks time"......

Then she flipped it and said 'you are still within 12 months processing time'...and I was like yes...absolutely !!!

We will find out....

Hi everyone, I got my FP request on Feb 3 and get those done on Feb 11. I called IRCC today to confirm if they received my FPs and to my surprise, they did not receive those from RCMP. I have sent an email to RCMP asking about status.
Usually, FPs should be done within 30 days which I did religiously but hope I don't have to redo fingerprints. Thoughts?

My timelines : I did my FP on 20 Feb. RCMP told me they mailed out on 26 Feb. Yesterday IRCC agent confirmed receipt of the same on 2 March.

Going with my timelines, your FP should have been received by now. Do the following:

1- Email RCMP to provide status. The RCMP would be able to tell you when it was mailed out. So you should keep 5 to 10 working days time buffer before following up with IRCC. Having said that, my FPs were received on 2 March which is 4 working days since mail out. Ideally, your FP should be there.
2- Should you see an issue, I suggest do second set of FP and have that request sent to yourself. Once you get your FP request, you can courier that copy to IRCC office (with tracking etc.).

Thanks

Did you email RCMP on Feb 20 2020 to know the status?

Not sure if your FP Agency told you but many people on this forum are following this:
FP Done > Email RCMP at the 8th day to know the status > RCMP replies in 24 hours > Call IRCC 2.5 weeks after RCMP confirmation

On the safe side - send the Web Form to IRCC today and attached the Proof of FP you did on Feb 11 - so they know you have done your work. Failing to act proactively will not be good at all [30 Days window]

Have the same question but
I emailed RCMP and they said they aren't able to give details on when the mail goes out :/
They do. Perhaps ask a close question like : "when the fingerprint results have been mailed out to IRCC?". The officer can tell you for sure as they told me exact date when the results were mailed out.

I again suggest, if concerned, get one fingerprint copy sent to yourself, so you can [express] courier your original copy to the concerned IRCC office.

Naturally, everyone is worried about 30 days deadline. General understanding is that if fingerprints are done within 30 days then IRCC do not penalize candidates as 'logistics' can not be controlled so any delays around that should not affect the applicant. In worst case, IRCC can send a second request for fingerprints (happened in one case, I think I read in Aug or Sept 2019 applicants page).

Well, I got a reply from RCMP that they completed everything and forwarded results to CPC- Sydney(that is where I was asked to submit my FP results) on Feb 17. I guess, I acted within 30 days window. However, I will call IRCC again and see what they suggest otherwise, will submit web form too with proofs.

Ahan. Did the IRCC Officer said that he/she can see your FP in transition? All FPRs go to Vancouver Officer. So flow with respect to your application will be Sydney > Vancouver [10 days buffer]. I think if you will call IRCC on March 9th 2020, they might have received that and noted in your file.

All the best

I learnt new things today. IRCC agent told me that it is written on FP request letters to do fingerprints in 30 days but IRCC wait for 90 days for applicant to take action on( wondering why they bold out that statement in letter). He literally told me to ignore that statement. He told me that it is possible that they receive FP package but it is not open yet or concerned officer didn't get chance to look into it yet. In a nutshell, he asked me to relax lol

I hear you but I will look for the worst case scenario when it comes to Citizenship process.

Your case is not in the hand of the person who has spoken with you on call. As we all know it is the IRCC Officer on whose discretion success of the application depends. There are the cases where IRCC Officer showed leniency and there are cases where the Officer gave a hard time to candidate.

I would take 30 days to 30 days and will be very proactive in my approach.

Hi please update we got our test invite today March 3 2020. The test will be on March 25 in Edmonton.
Thank you.
Congratulations!! Glad that Edmonton files are finally moving. I have a couple of questions:

1. Did you get finger prints request during the process? If yes, when? and when did you submit those?
2. How did you receive the test request? Email/Mail?

Thanks and best of luck!
