You can send an email directly to the MP that appears on the House of Common website (just google your MP's name). Explain your situation in detail and someone from their team will reply and ask you to sign a consent form and they will contact IRCC on your behalf (there is a special client support line for them).

But dont get your hopes up... they rarely get more info than what is already online. It is just a matter of pursuing every possible alternative.

Hope this helps!
Noted with thanks, when I filed my application I was living in Vaughan, now I have moved to Mississauga and my local office alway been SCR. Do I need to contact Vaughan MP or Mississauga MP?

Whoever represents the riding you live in at the moment :) (regardless of the visa office).

For instance, I lived in MTL before and for nearly 2 years my application was processed there (even after moving to Vancouver). I now live in Vancouver and my file was transferred to Surrey IRCC office (which absolutely sucks, btw...). The MP i contacted is the one that represents the riding where I currently live (Vancouver-Granville)

Hi

Just checked online, my oath ceremony has been scheduled for 20th April. But haven’t receive any email or letter of invitation. Will it be in-person or online? One more thing want to ask that, is it paid leave by government or it depends on employer?
Hello everyone

I got Notice for oath on 04 April as scheduled for 19th April . Today I officially became Canadian citizen.
I would to thank Canadavisa and everyone in this forum who helped to clear doubts.
Once again thank you everyone.

I feel like i'm losing my mind during this final step.... =/

i know there is nothing else to do but wait (and keep waiting), but when I keep seeing applicants who get invite days after DM while the oldest applications get left behind.... damn, it's difficult to stay chill.

I am so looking forward to being done with IRCC...

one day, hopefully...

Originally in Montreal, but it got transferred to Surrey when I moved to BC (even though I live in Vancouver)

I though Ontario offices were calling applicants quickly for their oaths=/

What I found while waiting was that the oath invitation for 2019 applicants from Surrey/Vancouver office comes exactly 1 week before completion of 3 months after DM. so in your case you should expect oath invitation 80 days after DM, I know it sucks a lot but this is what happened in my case too.

I'm waiting too.
Test completed Aug 02, 2021
Language and Prohibitions 22 Oct 2021
Physical presence and DM 21 Mar 2022

The new "official" processing time was 27 months for 80% of the applications over the past 6 months. However, I think that waiting for oath is not considered there since I believe they stop counting when a decision is made on the file.

Two months ago 60,000 people were waiting for oath.

For the 2020-2021 fiscal year, 9% of citizenship applications were processed within service standards.

I have no idea what agents look at when they schedule oaths (is it the application date? the test date? DM? other considerations? a giant spinning wheel?). In any case, I think we've seen enough to say that it is not a "first in, first out" system. Looking at the spreadsheets in this forum, around 25% of the people who have an oath scheduled in the first half of April received an invite within 5 days of DM, 75% within 53 days, and the average was 43 days.
People receiving invites at the moment are scheduled for oath ceremonies in late april.
(can you tell that i spend maybe a little bit too much time thinking about this?? hehe)
hello there , as some you may know the citizenship processing time changed from 12 months to 27 months . we applied in August 2021. I have taken the citizenship test march 25 2022. I was wondering if this new processing time will affect my application or it would be for the new applicants ? any idea ? please and thank you .

The new "27 months processing time" is not a service standard. Technically, they still aim to process complete applications within 12 months. For the 2020-2021 fiscal year, they only met this standard for 9% of applications (LOL).

The new number is simply descriptive of how long it has been taking them recently to process applications. The most formal interpretation is: "for applications finalized in the past 6 months, 80% of them were processed within 27 months".

So, the new number does not really impact files, it is merely being more honest about how long it has been actually them for some files. However, even though they will never admit it, they tend to favour newer applications over older ones (since those are the ones that can boost their performance stats in relation to the service standard). So.. honestly, I would not worry too much.

It took me nearly 22 months to actually take the test.... your application is progressing well. :)
