Give CIC a call and ask them for an update on your application. It's possible they have the wrong email address for you or that they haven't forgotten to send out the AOR and SA. You should have both of those by now, I believe.

Hi everyone,

I NEED URGENT HELP.

My husband was approved as a sponsor on 7th November and my file has been transferred to Ottawa for processing.

He received an email on Saturday saying that he is getting a refund of $75? Nothing else that is it, helpful as always.

Please can anyone assist with this?

We paid $550 in total so have we overpaid? Is it now being declined even though it was approved?

I have checked MYCIC and ECAS and there is nothing on there.

Hey all - just wanting to check in and see if anyone who sent their Outbound PR application in (delivered by post) around Oct 31st has heard anything yet. We had our app sent back for one tiny error the month prior, so we are anxious about not hearing anything yet.

My visitor status is up in March and I'm stressing.... it's so hard living in limbo.

Yep, you can assume that's your AOR2!

There are Oct. 31st applicants who heard from the CIC 25 days after filing. However, if you haven't heard back from them after 27 days, it is apt that you contact them. May I please ask the reason why your app was returned? Thank you.

Hey, thanks for the reply. So, 25 days from the 31st would be this past Friday the 25th. It's Monday, so hopefully we will hear anytime now.

The package was returned last month (but multiple pages stamped Accepted 9/16) because I didn't fill out the IMM5406 completely. I am the only one being sponsored (US spouse), so I didn't know I needed to list my entire family on the form.

Other than this - my meds and background check and all other forms and documents are included in my application.

we are still waiting for SA. App filed Oct 25. AOR rec'd but they requested a document and alas.....still waiting.....I called this morning and she says all I can do is wait. I'm literally dieing. I dont know what to do, well wait that is but its very nerve racking.

I missed the birth certificate of all things, and then they asked for the marriage certificate not license. But i had to explain that where we were married the license is the certificate with the red stamp of approval. Hopefully they read and understand what I am talking about.

Anyway, have you tried linking your app to myCIC?
You can do so by using your Family Name, Birthday, and Place of Birth. Here is the link:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/e-services/account.asp

Register for a GCKey User ID if you don't have one yet. And oh, try entering 2 (if you have no dependents) when it asks you the number of applicants (You + Sponsor).

Thanks! I'll try linking the app again.... when I have in the past it hasn't shown up under my account, all I see is my visitor visa app extension I applied for in March. My sponsor isn't sure if they have a CIC account, because all they used the site for was to pay fees. Maybe I'll give them a call and see if they can help us make some connections.

I sent my application on Oct 21 and I got a response that I am eligible to Sponsor my husband and my package will be mailed to Port of Spain...does anyone know how long it take after this step??

You should find the thread for the Port of Spain visa office to see what the average processing time is right now.. The CIC website lists 9 months officially (from the date they received your application).

Hey everyone,

We have not received an email about SA about my spouse, but it says that my application (person being sponsored) changed from 'received' to 'in processing.' Is it safe to say we have received SA now??
