if the 2 doesn't work then try another sequence of #'s. try 1 2 or 3. (remember theres only 5 tries before locked out for 24 hrs)
I put 1 in my form but they had it as 2.
Also make sure that everything you are entering is the same info that you entered on that form. other then the #'s of course.
How long has it been since your app was mailed? Ours was able to link in 9 days but I see some people who can't for almost 13 or more days.

CIC received our application last November 7, I know it's early though but some of November applicants linked their files for 7 days and got their AOR at the same time .

i dont really have an answer for that other then they are very lucky. I am still waiting for AOR in october group. *sigh*
All I can really say is to keep trying until you get that sweet spot that will let you link.

Yeah ,I know they are very lucky which I know they're just a week ahead from us but then 3 of November applicants received their AOR at the same time . And makes me more excited. All i can say ,is to pray more and more .

Have you both tried linking your app using the Family Name, Given Name and Date of Birth?

I have successfully linked mine after 7 days of submission. I typed my Place of Birth as it was written on my Generic Application form. I entered my passport details and all the necessary information. I tried it the first time 5 days after submission, and after 5 tries, I was locked out. I tried again on the 7th day, and was lucky enough to successful link it on my 4th try that day. I have not done anything different from the first time I tried linking it. I guess it was just too early then.

Enter the Place of Birth (City/Town/State) like how you wrote it for the sponsored person's Generic Application.

Mine was just locked out lol , it's my 7th day tomorrow since they received our application. I will try it again tomorrow, and hopefully to get some good news like what others November applicants got.Good luck to all of us .

There is still hope. Some members created several accounts until they get it right. You can try too. Since they will only email you once you've successfully linked an application.

Once successful, you will receive this kind of email:

Your application is now linked to this account. You can access this application from your account page, under "View my submitted applications or profiles".

And the subject would be your application number.

Hey, it's probably because of the federal holiday and the weekend, too. *winks* And since you submitted your app at a later week last October, it's still within reasonable processing time if you don't get your AOR until November 20 (the 27th day). We'll hear positive news soon enough. Don't worry Here's a +1 to make you a feel more positive.

You know what, my application has a lot of errors in it. Haha. So I'm actually expecting it to be returned. I know what you feel and so does everyone here. I can't even sleep because of this application. For this holds our future. Can't wait for this to end. Pray! Claim it and we shall receive it. Actually, I have whispered a prayer before I last tried linking my app, and I would dare say that prayer really works. It's the only thing we can do right now. Believe me, waiting for this is beyond crazy.

haha what is sleep? I stay awake at night thinking of the way I answered the questions and the documents I put in if the person reading the application will think that I answered in not enough detail or too much detail then get nervous and start to rethink and that the entire app is coming back. I sound like a crazy person. My poor family has to listen to me babble about this hahaha. But once this is done, the future will be the most beautiful place.
I hope all applicants are not subjected to miserably long waits because someones having a bad day or week or something. Pray is right!

Same here,I'm glad I'm not alone haha. Having sleepless night since we've passed our app and I'm also paranoid thinking that our app will be returned. All we can do for now is to pray more because He knows what's best for us.just think positive and everything will be alright.

I am a Canadian, and have applied to sponsor my Brazilian husband. Our application was received October 21. We too are worried that we made errors and it could be received. He is visiting me now but returns to Brazil December 7, so I just hope that we hear before then, either way. Fingers crossed, for us and for all of you

Update... after weeks of checking the website in vain, it finally allowed me to see my application status today. I haven't been able to link yet, and I have no idea it lets me see it now but not the 27 other times before, but here we are. It says my application was received on the 19th of Oct and they began to process it on the 8th of November. I guess this is good news, as at least now I know they know we exist ;D

Is that using gckey or ecas? Ours says status open and the date that we linked as Nov 2nd but no received days or anything

Sorry, I am not familiar with all the abbreviations yet! I hope this answers your question - I created an account but cannot link it yet, and I am locked out from trying again until tomorrow ;D However, when i checked Application Status from the CIC homepage, just using my receipt number, name, and date of birth, I was able to pull that information. I could not pull it this morning, or before a couple hours ago, but for whatever reason it recognizes me now. I searched by my name, the sponsor, not the sponsored applicant. Hope that helps!
