Hello everyone.
Just got my PPR request today. Outland application from Mississauga, and Rome Visa office.
Rome VO received my application on 17 th of October.
Since the email said i only have to send my passport(the original), is there anything else i have to send,
or any place on the CIC website I should check? Or I am just being paranoid for nothing

Hi, we just sent our PPR docs to Rome. What country and you currently in? We had to also send a letter outlining height, eye colour, and 2 passport photos, and a copy of passport.
There should be 4 options for Rome office.

I finally got my PPR last night!!! over 5 weeks after decision made on ecas! It came as a message through myCIC instead of email.

So my story is:
I'm sponsoring my wife from USA to Canada and we submitted our application at the end of October 2016. We are still waiting for DM and PPR (not sure if she will need to send in her passport or not because USA is a visa-exempt country? we already sent in photocopies of the "bio page" and 2 passport photos. not sure if that's enough for COPR)

My wife is living in USA and I'm living in Canada. Since we have been married for less than 2 years, I read somewhere that she will get a "conditional" approval of permanent residence?

1. Is it possible to go to Canada by land (driving to the border) once obtaining COPR to get the PR card?

Yeah I wish I knew about these forums before we applied. I would have photocopied all the passport pages. But then again, they could still send instructions to send updated photocopies I guess. No biggy.

What's the best way to send the passport? (courier?)

Do they stamp it or something and send back a COPR letter with it?
