Hi october applicants! Anyone with Ottawa VO and background check in progress?

I'm a Quebec applicant with Ottawa VO and my background check just changed to "in progress". A few weeks ago when my medicals changed to "passed" the background check also updated to "in progress", only to go back to "not started" the following day. Hopefully this time it means they're actually working on that stage.

We sent it fedEx overnight courier from Canada to Ottawa on January 24th, tracking number showed it arrived the afternoon of the 25th.

Inside was a second courier envelope addressed to the United States (we aren't going to be at my Canadian address for 6 weeks). So hopefully that gets sent soon!

Thanks! My husband and I keep going over hypothetical timelines once we get DM and I was worried you'd sent it right after getting the PPR e-mail back on the 6th.

We didn't pay the Right of PR fee up front with our application in October, and want to add it to the application now. Do we just pay it online and hope they figure out that we paid? I haven't seen a way to connect a payment to my application number?

Have any of you guys done this or know what to do?

Hi, I'm not entirely sure, however I just had my request to pay it from CIC last week. I followed the instructions to pay online and email the official receipt to a specific email address. Maybe a more senior member can answer your question better. I just thought I would give you my 2 cents

That's Fine if you didnt pay it upfront. They will request that payment once you're approve and you can pay it then. Or, you can gohttp://www.cic.gc.ca/ENGLISH/information/fees/result.asp?countrySelect=GY&lob=clc may the additional payment and email them a PDF copy.

i want to ask regarding my situation i applied last sept 2016 and they received my application on october , then they asked me to give the proof of communications of our relationship from the visa office in our country, after that what will be the next.

I hope not! Ours was delayed over a month for a document request im hoping they do not request anything else and goes smooth from here

What kind of documents they asked you ? I am from November and I am still waiting for my CSQ. I received a letter( dated from Jan 12th) last week, saying They are late due to an extra quantity of dossies They received and my case will be analyzed in the coming weeks.
