I just realized that I might be following the wrong thread here. haha. Are you guys applying under the nominee program or are you guys already nominated and are applying for permanent residence...?

Also, if it's not too much to ask, can you guys help me out with the abbreviations that are commonly used here? I am not very good at it. haha. I usually get confused when people say they got IP or AOR or something etc...

They have requested my passport on August 25th.
I have sent it same day, but it is almost 2 and half weeks now and my returning track number is not yet activated.

Have a flight for Europe middle of October.
A bit worried, because I was told it should not take longer than 2 weeks for them to send the document back.

How long did it take for you guys?

Tracker activated 9/4 and received yesterday. Did landing last night.

I got my passport with immigrant visa and COPR back last July 28, 2015. Called CIC Edmonton for my landing and it was 6-8 weeks. It's been almost 7 weeks now and I haven't receive any call back yet. Anyone here in the same situation? Thank you.

Already nominated, applying to federal.
Well there are a few words, like AOR=acknowledgement of receipt, IP=in process, RPRF=Right of permanent residence fee, DM=decision made, PPR=passport request

Did CIC put a hold on the process of what? no movement anywhere IP- DM / DM-PPR, i was expecting DM after 2-3 weeks once i received my IP on 17 July but now its more than 50 days, nothing

I'm Oct 28 and got IP since July 17.
Then I quit job on Aug 15.
And moved out that area.
I know it was stupid. Just guess will get PR soon.
But now I' still waiting DM.
Should I back to work for safe??

I heard that you need your PR Card to travel, so even if you have your passport, you still can't leave, or unless you have other travel documents? I don't really know. Need someone to clarify as well.

Yes, I will leave out Canada on the 24th. I am not going to "flag pole" so I don't need to wait for PR card to come back.

I will exit to my home country and come back Canada instead. Is rules changed now? Let me know. Thank you.

Earlier, is ottawa not the only vo for inlanders? i think as per recent activities we have more applications (some good share of % of applications) being adjudicated at cio itself as like a regular vo. Is my assumption correct?
