Hi everyone,

I am going through a European office (I see a lot of India on here and Phillipines)... We applied in late Oct, got our AOR in Jan and today I got a passport request! I know in Philippines they request the passport ahead of time and hold on to it (unless rumours) but in our case I am confident it'll get returned within 7 days - says so in the letter. We never got AOR2 and our ECAS still says Received only for part 2. I wouldn't obsess as they probably manually update it. GOOD LUCK! :D

@mimosa86

Wow congratulations to you! This is good news!

As far as Ecas is concerned i suspect they do not update it frequently. Which is annoying but oh well I guess thats how they work. Im still waiting on AOR 2. However I wont loose my breath over it

Just venting a little bit. It's been 5 moths since CIC received my application and nothing. I can't take this waiting, this is a test of my patience and it seem like I have NONE!. I'm checking e-cas 4 to 5 times a day and my email every 20 minutes, like a crazy nut and still nothing. No movement since December. It's so hard being apart from my husband, I try to stay positive by thinking that every day that goes by, is a day closer to us being together. I'm hoping he's here by May, June the latest, but that may be wishful thinking on my part.

Anyways congratulations to those who are seeing movement and to those still waiting, keep thinking positive and just remember how much you love your spouse. I hope we see some movement very soon, like tomorrow...LOL! I'm gonna pray extra hard tonight for all of us, that CIC lights a fire under their ass and starts processing and sending PPR's and decisions by the end of the month. If it works, someone in this group can buy me a virtual round. ;D

Hi,

I totally understand your frustration! I am not a patient person either and to be honest waiting is not one of the things I like to do. I actually hate it. CIC actually received my application for PR on 10/23/14 and still no movement. It still says application received in my Ecas and its slowly killing me inside. I called them yesterday and they told me that normal processing times is about 15 months!! :'( I almost died! My hubby got approved as my sponsor on 11/27/14 and they told me that its gonna be 15 months from that date. Now I know that (from what I have been reading on this forum) they process out land applications in about 6-8 months depending on the completeness of the application package as well as the veracity of all the documents. Hopefully we all see movement soon... Keep your fingers crossed and pray extra hard!

Goodluck

God, I hope it's not going to take that long. We applied 6th October, SA on 9th December. Apart from that, nothing. We are leaving for Canada in 8 weeks, if I don't get PR soon, I'll be a non-working tourist until February 2016 if it takes that long!

Wow... this is pretty annoying. The wait is crazy... Hopefully it wont take that long. I have a three year visa tourist for Canada. Worse comes to worse Ill just move there by the summer, switch to inland and live with my hubby.

I'm lucky that we all live in NZ and will be moving to Canada as a family/group. I'm a stay at home dad so I can be out of work for a while, but I'd like the PR sooner rather than later so I can work if necessary...otherwise my wife will be working as soon as we land!

Okk I see. Well hopefully we all hear some good news soon

Lets keep our fingers crossed

Dont switch to inland since as you are aware its much long.
You cant just switch an application since you will have to withdraw the current application and start from scratch and apply.
