exactly. the "spouse" being referred to here is when 2 spouses are being sponsored by a third person. there's no need to send in the passport for the sponsor. it has nothing to do with the applicant's approval papers being issued.

on my side I had an e-mail on november 25th from CIC asking me to send a form again even tough it was the lastest form available. Even if I called the call center they told me my best best would be to send the form anyway....so I did that and now around christmas I called and they told me they got the form and NOW my app is complete... hopefully will get SA sometime in January, some people say you have to wait the normal processing times stated on cic websites since they got the requested documents and someothers say it's after the 45 days that you got the letter....

im calling CIC to find out any update with my file and for the first time after i spoke to an agent they put me on hold for about 10 mins now.. im scared why is it taking them so long to check my file :S

Nothing, after waiting 10 mins all they said is ur forms were received on oct 23

Smily applied on Oct 20th, there is a spreadsheet to refer too, you can find out when everyone applied etc. I always have it in my signature and so don't a few others on here. You should add it to yours, so you don't have to hunt it down
