did you tell him/her that it should be outland instead of inland. that's a mistake.

I did. Then they told me the standard procedure was to send a message to the Mississauga office to switch to the outland queue. No word since then. Will call in the morning.

Hey guys,

The processing time has been updated:(Working on applications received on October 16, 2014) and its 61 days; gone up by 3 days.

I just saw the update, in 7 days they've gone through 2 days forward, a long way for all the October last week applicants.. :(

Yes they officially only gone through 2 days :( but I am hoping that date is long past and they are working more later date applications - we have seen this.

7 Days, try 12. The last update was Dec 10th..... Their minds are all on the holidays, and probably some last minute scramble to get paperwork caught up and closed out for the year. I bet it'll pick up after the New Year.

Oops, error, I see what you mean by 7days now....

I think that is what everyone is hoping that from Jan the times should be much faster.

At this point I am just happy that I will be with my wife during the holidays and we will be together when I get SA :) :)

Well the update went from December 10 to 17th hence the "7 days" comment.

You can't really blame them too much, they're humans with families as well. You'll see all offices slow at this time of the year with absences. Heck I'm covering for 4 people right now.

Currently on hold with the call centre as they try to determine if my application is in the right queue. 32 minutes and counting...

I'm crazy busy the next two weeks, so it should really help me pass the time.... Between room mom responsibilities the next two days, shooting a wedding, Xmas, New Years, a road trip down to my in-laws (shoot me :-\) and my hubby's Birthday. It'll be over before I know it ;)

Just got off the phone with them. So apparently my file is and was always in the outland queue and the first agent made a mistake. They said there was an email sent to me 10 minutes ago (yet to be received) which likely contains the AOR and I should be receiving the SA in the next day or so if all is well. HUGE relief here :)

That's good news, atleast your file is in the right queue and you would get your SA soon. Let us know if your get that AOR mail. By the way I could not find you in the October spreadsheet. What's your date of application?

Hey everyone, first post here...been lurking since the Summer. :) We turned in our Outland application while we were in Toronto for Canadian Thanksgiving in October. It was delivered by courier to the Mississauga office October 16. I'm American and my common-law sponsor partner is Canadian. We are/have been living in the USA the last 4 years.

My application is currently at 67 days. Last Thursday we called the CIC from the U.S. and they gave us a temporary application number (like others in here had reported) and indicated they would be getting to us in the next couple of days. Hoping any day now but also am very sympathetic to those that are working over the holiday.

Flying to Toronto on Dec 29 for a week visit...was initially a little worried we wouldn't have SA to be able to show at the airport, but will just take my info with me in case it comes up.

Cheers and Happy Holidays...hoping we October apps have a great New Year!
