OCTOBER 2014 OUTLAND APPLICATIONS!

Hi hi,

While rereading the "Sponsorship Approval" letter I noticed that it appears my application is now being processed in Mississauga instead of London (which I had requested).

The letter reads "You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) has been retained for further processing at CPC Mississauga"

Any ideas as to why?

Just be happy . You will fly through this process much quicker than our applications that got sent to London. London is over loaded so Mississauga has taken over the job an simple applications. Join the London thread then you will see how fast Mississauga is.

Can anyone access status on ecas with the payment receipt number? I tried with both sponsor and applicant info and it doesn't show up.

I don't think so. It never worked for me and it never worked for a friend of mine! I had to wait until I got my UCI #! It was very frustrating because the receipt number option is there, but it never worked. I just tried now and it still didn't work. Maybe someone else had better luck with it.

Please don't ask the same question on multiple boards. Sometimes the people (volunteers!) on these boards may take some time to respond but you will get a response.

Hello everyone .
I just called cic asking for an update on my application. And still no luck my application was received by cic on October 27th. I got AOR on February 11th. But haven't received SA after that . So when I called them they said that there are still applications from October that they are still processing. But it's so strange that SA haven't been send out for so long so I asked the representative whether my husbands medical details have been received ? And she said that if I haven't sent the "use of a representative form " then I can't access my husbands information . And she sent me an email saying that I can fill out the form and upload it through case specific enquiry and send it . So once I am granted I will be able to see if his medicals are received ?
It's strange cause I got a file number from the call center, but I can't view my status once I enter my details. They said that my application maybe in line to start processing . I believe almost everyone has received SA ?? I am flying to India to see my husband in August . I just hope things can speed up . Is there anyway to find out why there's a delay in my application ??

its very unfortunate that you are still waiting for SA. Are you able to see anything if you use ECAS using your UCI?

The only thing you can do it ask the agent to send a note asking for the status and be persistent with the agent.

It seems like some or most London applications are getting processed in Mississauga given that applications from Pakistan are being processed in London and its now 29 months in London.

You should see a much quicker process

I think there are couple of people still waiting for SA. I think the only option is to keep asking them.

I have both our UCI#s. It's a little frustrating because we can't tell whether the payment was linked to the file properly.

I FINALLY received AOR email on December 25th confirming that mississauga received our application August 22 2014 hahaha which is laughable but what can ya do?! Then december 29th another email with SA and saying our application is being sent to Havana. Nothing after that but my MP emailed me confirming that the application reached Havana Jan 6th.....sooooo now that things are on their way i can FINALLY stop holding my breath and just wait....

They say they have sent application to "visa office abroad" but then they give the contact information for Ottawa office? So, is the application staying in Canada?

My daughter(being sponsored) is US citizen and we picked LA office. Hopefully it is faster in Ottawa. Anybody any experience in Ottawa? Thanks!!
