I tried calling the toll free number many times. They always say they cannot access PR files.

Last Friday I could somehow convince the call centre agent to check my medical result. I told him that I had undergone medical on Nov 6th and want to check if results are uploaded. I didnt tell him that it is for PR and told him that I want to verify if the results are uploaded as I want to apply for work permit. He took my personal details and checked the system. He told that results could not be found and sometimes it take almost a month to upload the results.

My GCMS notes from earlier this month says IME status: Received from Emed. I think it means results are uploaded in emedical system.

Couple of reasons why he could not find the results
1) It might be true that call centre agents cannot access anything related to PR applications including medical examination results. However, I also feel that medical examination results should be accessible to the call centre agents as results are a bit generic and are tied to client ID.

2) Ottawa Regional Medical Office (RMO) is still checking the results. Once done, they will send it to CIC Visa officer.

I hope results are uploaded and call centre cannot access the results :)

Sorry to here that you are still where you are. I called the toll free number regarding my medical result but ibwas specifically told they do not have access to PR files..

For my first application, I had contacted member of it parliament but it was to no avail. No one replied me. I was refused because my boss made a mistake in the letter she wrote. We offered to produce another letter with evidence so they know my job is real but they replied with a " case closed, please reapply" .

If nember of parliament respond, i will be happy for you. If it is refugee file, they will.

I did my medicals on Oct 29th, and they sent my medicals on Nov 26th. Till now there is no update in my system. What will happen if the time limit exceeds 2 months? Will CIC rejects my application?

As long as you did medical within 2 months, you're good. Check gcms if they are received. If you don't see status update in ecas after 2 weeks, send an email to Ottawa . You may send it now as well .. Cic may take weeks to respond .

I just emailed the proof to my lawyer today, hopefully in the next couple of days the case officer will have the proof that I intend to reside outside of Quebec. Does anyone know about how long it takes them to open emails and go through the attached documents? I wouldn't think more than a few days, but I could be wrong.

According to my GCMS notes, my VO JP5777 read my emails roughly within 1 hour of receiving them. I can say this because I see notes at the end of GCMS file with date and time, which are almost an hour after I sent the email. RPRF receipt note was created within 15 mins after I sent.

But, in most cases, VO didnt care to reply to me and only updated my file . In some cases, he did reply after I sent couple of reminder emails..

I guess If you put your file number in the subject of the email, the email directly goes to the VO's inbox.

Hello eds1275,

Just like you advised, i tried your method and call 5 minutes ago. I gave them my Client ID number without saying its for PR. The guy say they received it on the 28 of October. I did medicals on the 25th. I ask if they have my husband's on file, and he verify at that point that its for PR and i said yes so he said he can see they are working on it but system did not say finalized.

This explains to me why i have not heard from them. I will call back next week for my husband.

Thanks for the tips Eds

Hello guys,

I have noticed some applicants are been told to submit RCMP for their partner. Can you please tell me if you partner is a residence of Canada or not. My partner is not a residence of Canada and i wonder if he will be ask to submit RCMP. I just want to prepare for it if need be.

Thanks.
