Hey all,
I apologize in advance if this has already been answered elsewhere.
My permanent residence application is currently being processed in NY (file was transferred from the Buffalo office on March 23 after spouse was accepted as a sponsor) and now I might have a job offer from an employer in Canada...the employer mentioned that getting the market labor opinion for me would be relatively easy based on my qualifications. Is it possible to contact the NY office with this information and would this quicken my approval process?
To put my question in perspective, I am on a J1 visa in the US and have been in the US for the past 10 yrs. If I get a work permit and move to Canada right away, I would be unable to return to the US for an interview in NY (if one is required) and that is the only criteria keeping me back in the US. So I'm hoping to quicken my processing time for PR rather than apply for a work permit.
Any thoughts on the best way to approach this?
