Hi all,
I have one specific question that so far, I couldn't manage to find an answer for yet.
I am a senior structural engineer currently working in Duba, UAE. Say I enter the express entry pool with a job offer from Canadian employer (approved LMIA ), in which I will be entitled to the extra 600 points in CRS score, and say that I got picked up and got my PR. What will happen if after coming to Canada, I decide not to work with that employer for whatever reasons and resign immediately? How that could affect my (and my family) PR status as well as my chances to look for new job either in the same or other provinces in Canada?

Appreciate your help in advance,

Wael

What if the employer himself decides not to hire me after arriving to Canada and terminates the employment offer?

***something fishy***

r u indirectly saying - lmo is obtained just to get pr ?

all employers are governed under esdc and labour laws

have never seen anything like that they dump the candidate on arrival into canada

btw as a pr holder - you are free to search jobs and sustain

u have the right , employer can not easily terminate but with mutual understanding no problem, employer must have to give solid reason

Dear all,
Your responds are really helpful.
The employer is willing to offer me a job to help me get my PR.
However, he is not really having a post for me in his company cause I am kind of over qualified for his needs. So there is a mutual agreement that once I arrive. The offer will be terminated and I will be on my own. What I really need to be sure of is that all the process is legal.
My question now is:
This offer letter that is approved by LMIA (if I am not mistaken), in which I suppose to use and refer to in my express entry application, how should it look like? How can I check if it is legal? Should my name be stated in it? From what authority this letter should be issued? Can I trace this letter from a certain website to confirm its legality? And finally, is there a sample for such letter that you guys can share with me just to see how it suppose to look like.

Thanks again guys for your presoectives.

Wael

Wonderful - you shouldnt be even posting this

this is straight misrepresentation IRPA.40

Effective DEC 2015 - there is a mandatory compliance reporting from employers to ESDC - dont forget that - failure on compliance will black list the employer

In addition to the employer being blacklisted, CIC could also chose to revoke your PR status and ban you from Canada for 5 years if they feel you obtained your status through misrepresentation (i.e. having a fraudulent job offer).

What about if people are not 'intentionally' to do that? For example, an employer base on CV and interview to offer the job but finally they find out the candidate isn't really suit for the post. Or the applicant is looking for another job after landing because of other reasons like salary or benefit. How CIC prove it?
