Hello

To meet residency obligations, you must be physically present in Canada for at least 730 days (2 years) in every 5-year period.

Let's say you don't meet these obligations and your residency status gets voided. Can you then go to US or Canada with a VISA or you will be frowned upon or denied entry?

US has nothing to do with Canadian PR status. If you don't meet RO and are no longer interested in permanent stay in Canada , then you should apply to get your PR status revoked before applying for Canadian visit visa else your visitor visa would be denied.
