Hello,
I am preparing to renew PR card and have several question, would you please reply to me ?

1) should I include day trip to USA?
2) I left Canada on July 5 and returend on Aug. 21 2011, my own counting says 46 days, but 47 days come out by using Residence Calculator for citizenship application, would you please explain which days should be included in the application ?
3) The flight on July 5 was around early AM (between 1 AM to 2 AM), is the exit date July 5? or the date I went through the passport control (possibly July 4, I can not remember it) ?

Thank you very much
JA

1) Include the day trip but list it as 0 days. They may have a listing of your entry to Canada and if you leave it out, they might be suspicious.

2) Any part of a day spent in Canada counts as a day spent in Canada for the PR requirements so you were outside for 46 days. The citizenship requirements are different and count the nights so for citizenship it would be 47 days.

3) The date on your airline ticket would be the date you use.

JA,

How many days of physical residence are you claiming in the 5 years prior to the date of PR renewal application?
