HOW LONG IT USUALLY TAKING NOWADAYS FOR BACKGROUND CHECK?
In general, using all caps, especially in bold red fonts, is perceived as yelling! Or perhaps you're not aware, but that's not needed here. Most of the people here are pretty kind and helpful.
Anyway, to your bold red query, there is no set pattern for the progression of any stage of the application. Especially BG. Everyone's application is unique, and it's processed based on the individual's application content, which is always different. For BG, IRCC needs to obtain/get clearance from RCMP/CSIS/CSBA. Sometimes, clearance is received, but IRCC agent working on the file doesn't update until the application is resumed for processing to the next step in line. Or sometimes it's pending clearance from said authorities.
I have also noticed that many applicants (but not everyone) get their BG completed (in tracker) just a few days to 1 week after getting AoR email. One theory is that if the applicant travelled outside Canada to a non five-eye country anytime after file submission and before AoR, then BG can take some time because this travel history is not recorded in the application. But that's just one theory; there can be many other factors, which I think we really don't need to know or worry about.
on FB, I've seen some applications (timeline from tracker sreenshot) go from [AoR ---> BGC ---> CitizenTest ---> BG inprogress ---> Interview ---> BGC ---> LPP].
Anyhow, most citizenship applications are PR applicants, and so if PR was approved back in the day, so will the citizenship given if there are no mishaps that delay the application any further, just that they check activity for time between the PR and Citizenship application submission. And the way I see it, is that all November 2025 applicants are still within the normal processing time. If the file processing goes beyond that timeline (over 11 ~ 12 months), then it's considered out of normal processing, and one may request for GCMS or request local MP for inquiring status.
