Hi , Questions for everyone
I applied for my mother in law's Visitor Visa WITHIN Canada as she is currently in with current visa expiry June 2023,
We specifically filled up the Visitor Visa forms along with the Right fees , NOT for Visitor Record to extend her stay, CIC gave her visitor Record for 1 year till jan 2024 and request for medical , I have tried calling CIC but as usual Cannot connect to anyone, can anyone shed some light why did they do that or was it an Error on their end.

Previously applied my parents' TRV through GC Key on October 20 2020 but the application was still in process. Applied again for my parents' TRV on November 23 2022. Biometrics done on December 2 and everything else is still in process.

Sorry for the confusion: I applied for my mother's visit visa the first time. She got biometrics done the firs time. Second time, I applied for both my parents via IRCC portal. The second biometric was only for my father. My mother just got the request for passport a couple of days ago. My father's application is still in process.

Thank you. Happy for your PPR for Mom. I guess this is from the new portal and not the first IRCC one ?
I am waiting to hear for my parents since Nov 18
BCG in process, not sure how long would this take.

Yes it was TRV, refused with generic comments:

• You do not have significant family ties outside Canada.
• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.

It was refused on June 2022, I applied again in Nov-2022, and this time luckily it is approved.

Mine too was refused in sept 2022 fr same reasons , reapplied on December 15 2022

Current status- review .. hopefully got good new this time
