Hey I received a ghost update today too, the old completed tasks are coming up as "New Update" not sure why, hoping some stuff is happening in the background and it's a good sign...

Thank you for your input. Exactly the same situation here. I was wondering was it an actual ghost update or just a system update/glitch.

All log/timeline has "New Update" tag.

Hi guys. Has anybody recently received a ghost update? My wife's app got one today. Wondering how long may it take to get an actual progress in the application.

Just checked my tracker and there was a ghost update for Dec 16 for my application as well. Old ones shown as new updates (AOR, bckgd, test invite, completed)... scarborough center

seems like a system update.. lots of ppl got it from the looks of it.. same with other month applicants

I got an email yesterday asking for copies of my passport - even though they have it already - sent them back same day. Back to waiting.

1100 days, single online application, submitted Nov 23, AOR Feb 8th, test complete Sept 1, email requesting passport copies Dec 15!

Did you send everything in a single file? I have 2 passports to scan so not sure how to fit everything in under 5MB or can it be multiple files each under 5MB?

Got the 'ghost update' on the 16th. Seems like its just a system update..

I'm starting to seriously consider if its worth withdrawing the application and refiling it via the paper method ..

Why do you have to withdraw? you can just apply another paper one and have both processed. you should "specifically" ask them to process both though
