Did anyone get DM/PPR even if they didn't get request for Schedule A ever? Is the Schedule A obligatory?

Yes, you should definitely call CIC and ask about it. People had difficulties in the past when those requests didn’t come through however CIC were waiting for requested documents and it was causing unnecessary delays. You can also send your schedule A through webform with an explanation that you didn’t get a request however the sponsor’s letter stated that this document was required. Good luck.

Hi Ukrainian girl,

Do you know how to send Schedule A through webform since there is no button on online account to upload any document.

Thanks in advance!

Use this link:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp

and follow the buttons and instructions for "tell us more" under 'update or give more information about an application.'

You will have to provide a hand-written signature on the form, so you first type your name and date, then validate the form. Print it, sign, and scan the document to be attached via the web form.

Hi all,

First time posting here, not sure how I should give my timeline so I'll just copy paste what's in the ECAS and GCkey.

Our Application was forwarded to Manila, Philippines on Feb. 16, 2017

Notes in ECAS:
  • We received your application for permanent residence on November 24, 2017.
  • We started processing your application on February 27, 2018.
  • We sent you correspondence on January 19, 2018. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
  • Medical results have been received. (this contradicts the one in GCkey which shows passed)

Notes in GCkey:
  • Application status We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
  • Review of eligibility We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
  • Review of medical results You passed the medical exam.
  • Review of additional documents The additional documents you provided have been uploaded.
  • Interview You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
  • Biometrics We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
  • Background check Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.
  • Final decision Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

  1. Can anyone let me know what stage are we in?
  2. How long till we get the Passport Request? I'm just concerned since we have not received any update after Started processing file.
  3. My wife received an email about an Online virtual career fair. Is this mandatory?

Side question: My wife is a public school teacher and her colleague told her that she cannot quit right away, so she already informed the school Principal that she will quit in June because apparently they also cannot quit during summer vacation. Is this is the right decision since we are just hoping to get the PPR before June 2018? (someone told us that our application won't take too long)
