On the cic website where it shows how to fill out the forms for permanent resident...where it talks about the fees. The part that mentions right of permanant residence fee...it says it will be requested at a later time if approved...my wife got such request but we haven't had any progress on background checks yet. So since they asked for that fee. Does that mean shes been approved dispite not being notified yet ?

I have applied for my wife's (no other dependents) spousal sponsor in the first week of Nov 16.. since we have applied from India the processing office shall be New Delhi.. I currently see her Spousal Application Status: in Process and Permanent Resident Application status also In Process.. I am trying to understand what are the wait times (in majority of the cases) for outland sponsorship .. Is there any info/links which can be of use to me? Thanks in advance..

My status hasn't moved much in about a month, the background check is in process. My eligibility review passed in just over a month. It's so frustrating to be stuck in limbo at least I have a visa that allows me to live with my wife.

At least they have started your background check lol. Mine hasn't changed at all since SA 2 months ago. The medical hasn't even changed to passed. It's so frustrating:'(

about the VO's i know there are working very hard... the cic head office gave instructions to them to be fast as possible as they can... and Manila VO is not slow it's just a feeling.

I was asked for 2 photos. Which I sent in recorded delivery.

I emailed them and got a very generic response back.

"Dear Applicant,
Please be advised that this application awaits an initial review in London, UK. We will be in contact once this review has taken place.

I am worried because I log onto my CIC and it still says

"Your action is required" and when I click it, its the letter still like n o update at all.


Does this mean they haven't received it? I sent it months ago! and it said it was received by the post office.

I don't know what else to do.

My visa runs out in May and were in Feb now. I am on a Experience Canada 2 year Visa and I have heard you cant get a bridging visa to continue working. My application was submitted on October 18th. Do you think they would allow a bridging Visa?

Do you think I have a chance of getting this thing before May?
