Thats expected, remember that it is purely due to the number of application they receive, think about #of application/officer ratio
They are only 450k residents,
Now tell me how many residents are there in your city

This message appeared this weekend on my eCas:

We sent you correspondence on December 9, 2016. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
No physical letter yet. My wife's eCas doesn't have the same message. I've read it can be RQ, fingerprint request, or even to resend documentation already sent. Anyone had the same experience?

This is sitting in my eCas:

From what I read, it is likely a RQ. I've spent some time looking for a job, basically at home, which creates a gap in my application. My wife, who went logged a "perfect record" - she went from school to work without gaps - didn't received the same message.

I'm wondering why they don't send the correspondence by email. It's faster, more secure, probably more automatic for them, and I could have already provided the information they need.

Anyone have information on how much time between the message on the eCas and the actual letter? What about how these requests delay processing?
