November 2016 - Citizenship Applicants

Hi,

They issued me CIT0520 after the test as I was missing two stamps into the US.

CIT0520 is requesting.

All pages from passport
Rental/Lease agreement
Paystubs
Children school records
CRA Notice of assessments
Bank/Credit card statements
Medical Records
USA entries/exit records

I have applied for FOIA Entry/Exit in US and have rest of the documents.

Any suggestions welcome

Hi steve,

They issued you that at the test or after you got an email.If the entry was after june 2013 .They will have a record.Were you unemployed during the last 6 yrs or were out of the country alot?

Sorry to hear that you got the CIT Form

I also travelled 3 times to the US and each time it has been like 2 months on employment after entering the country on PR.

I was working in the US for a long time before getting Canadian PR. Any strong reason for CIT ?

When you say missing stamps into the US , were you on Nexus or something like that ?

I also have 1 missing Canada stamp because I entered Canada by bus from New York and the CBP agent only scanned my PR card so no stamp on my passport.

I have my written test next month so I am concerned.

are you sure its just because of stamps? how about personal circumstances like did you have gaps with you personal history or did you spend a lot of time outside canada?

I did not have any gaps in any history
All entries were verifiable
I landed in Canada in 2011 and actually moved in 2012.
When I did landing and I entered back to USA they did not stamp my passport
Another time a day trip was not stamped on my passport
At time of interview the CO told me my file is all good except for the missing stamps and that he will send me request for US entry records

At the end of the test the officer told me that all is good except for the missing stamps so he will send me mail with request.

I was unemployed only for 6 months

I did not have nexus as I did not work in USA
Only returned after landing and one day shopping trip

If you have FOIA reports then show them to the CO and if all of the rest is good nothing should go wrong....
The officer told me that they see this very often and nothing new of missing USA stamps...

I followed the steps below.....

This is what I wrote in another topic.

The one thing to add is that creating an account is VERY IMPORTANT.
I have seen several posts written by people who didn't do that
and they had problems with their reports and had to resubmit their requests.

Also, I think sending photos of the passport pages may not be strictly necessary.
I do know that they need your exact date of birth (my friend did the same thing,
without passport photos and it was rejected due to missing date of birth).

I didn't put it in the request, but apparently they took it from my passport photo.
If you don't include those photos, make sure you include your date of birth in the request.

Here's how to request it:

1- go to this link: https://foiaonline.regulations.gov/foia/action/public/request/publicPreCreate
2- create an account or continue as a guest ( I recommend the creation of an account)
3- select the agency: CBP FOIA division
4- fill in all your personal information.
5- type of record requested it will be: Entry/ exit
6- in the description put the details of your request.
7- click preview and submit.

That's all

sorry gap i meant unemployment for a long time. 6 months seems a long time. its prob a contributing factor too
