NOVEMBER 2015 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

There aren't many for reference, but the few profiles listed on the 2015 outland spreadsheet for POS seem really inspiring, in that 4/5 have a PPR within 35 days (only 1 outlier at 155 days). If you have a standard case, these numbers seem exciting.

That would be so great! I hope we hear something soon... I told my husband that we have maybe 3 or 4 months to hear from POS (before we received the AOR2) and he jokingly replied 3 or 4 more weeks and we will have a decision made... when we got AOR2 yesterday ... I was like wow... you may have been right!

What is the 2015 norm for the Manila office??

Woot! Congrats! Looks like Manila VO was busy this week. Awesome that we all have the same timeline.

Seems like it. It's been raining DMs for April applicants and I believe they're about to commence giving out DMs to May applicants as well. It's only been 9 months for these people so assuming everything goes well for all of us Nov Manila applicants, which I'm praying for, we could probably expect our DMs by August

Dear Sir/Madam,

This refers to the Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class or a Member of the Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada Class submitted to this office.

A refund in the amount $550 has been initiated....

Did I overpay them??? I paid them about $1,590.00

Outland sponsoring total is $1040 for everything so yes, they owe you $550

Yes, you did. It costs 1040 CAD total if only the spouse/common law is sponsored.

I almost made the same mistake, I was also sure that I need to pay 550 CAD. I guess it shows how not clear sometimes CIC instructions are
Anyway,as long as you overpaid is OK, worst would be not to pay enough

Hi everyone, I have a few questions that have come to mind. Firstly, if the VO needs more information regarding my husband, will they call or email him? Secondly, should I submit a use of representative form giving me the right to access info on his part of the application? I am asking because he lives in the hills where they do not have door to door mail delivery. I did put his moms address on the flat as his mailing address as well as his email address but I'm just wondering what I should do. Any thoughts?

It depends actually. Jan-March 2015 applicants only had their passports requested when they got their DMs. Some April-July 2015 applicants though were requested to submit their passports early and it's been with the Manila VO for months now. Anyway we're just fortunate that the Manila VO is one of the faster VOs. Complete and straightforward applicantions usually just take anywhere between 9-11 months. There were some who were really lucky and got theirs in 7 months

OK prior to them removing processing times by VO, POS was 16 - 18 months.... but I know people who got through between 4 to 6 months.

There are a lot of acronyms... it's probably just easier to ask as they come up

PA principal applicant

I'm still learning... the more time you spend here the more you will pick up
