Is this what you mean by three lines? This is what mine says:

We received xx's application for permanent residence on November 3, 2015.
We started processing xx's application on January 14, 2016.
Medical results have been received.
Yes this means you passed eligibility now they are strating your Police and Medicals.

As per what i was reading in a thread everyone that sees a third line in the PR In Process part it means they passed Eligibility wow...im nervous now even though i provided alot of info about my relationship with my husband and im only 3 years older then him and showed our ongoing relationship... i wish i could see that third line to feel better lol

So CONGRATS to thoses who got AOR1, SA and that third line!!!
Are you sure? That means no interview, but I am not that optimistic about this third line, as far as I know they would not even start processing file for me before Quebec sends them this number.
For me would be more logical that it means that application is received in Visa office :)

THIRD LINE MYSTERY :D

THIRD LINE MYSTERY :D
This is where i found my information

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/old-in-process-vs-new-in-process-on-ecas-explained-t363793.0.html

you can read the Old in Process Vs New In Process.... and as far as what i read...

The NEW IN PROCESS has replaced the old status called APPLICATION RECEIEVED if it says:

IN PROCESS: We have received JON DOE's Permanent Residence Application on 01.01.2000
Medical Results have been received

This way you are not off of the interview's hook yet, they just update your Ecas with those 2 lines they will only show the date they started processing your file when Eligibility passes and background checks have then begun. You will mostly likely see the third line after months and months when your file has matured for PPR and ready for a decision. Hopefully this helped

Warm Regards and good luck

Interesting.. but then it still says.. "You will mostly likely see the third line after months and months when your file has matured for PPR and ready for a decision. ".. So it should be way too early for November people to see third line, especially for QC residents :)

Anyway, it's not that important, as we all can agree, CIC is super unpredictable.. so seeing or not seeing line actually doesn't say you a lot. It is still quite blind process :)

I am a little confused, I received my SA letter indicating the application for PR has been shipped to the VO office for further processing, however in ECAS under Permanent Residence Application Status, it is still in Application Received status, does that mean CIC in mississauga will do a further assessment on PA's eligibility before shipping it to the VO or the assessment on the PA is going in parallel now (ie both CIC in missisauga and VO will perform the assessment)?

Thanks!

So if I've interpreted that ECAS post right, when you get the second line saying "we started processing you application on.... etc etc" that means they have determined eligibility and will move onto security and medical checks?

CIC is unpredictable i agree.. but this is what i saw in this thread and if this is true...it would be great but the person that wrote the thread seemed to be informed about his/her stuff anyways i'm from Quebec too so i'm just waiting in my CSQ.. Can't wait for it to be processed.

Actually me too it was that status before but it changed today so no.. it means they just sent your form to the appropriate VO and once the VO gets it only then it will change to In Process

Congrats to everyone who has received their SAs! It's encouraging to see November moving along! Hopefully we all won't have to wait much longer!

So I posted in the FBI thread however I just wanted to hear some opinions from the November family...

My partner is from Japan but he spent a year studying in America and therefore needs an FBI check from America as well as one from Japan (according to the CIC website). We somehow missed this piece of information (derp :-[) and sent his application out on Nov. 2, 2015 with only his Japanese police check. We got AOR and SA. Our application has been forwarded to the VO in Ottawa. We sent out his finger prints and application to the FBI Jan. 20 but as we all know it will take a while before we get anything back.

So my question is should we mail proof that we requested an FBI check and are currently waiting to Ottawa right away or should we just wait if/until Ottawa requests it and then either send the police check/send the proof we are waiting? We just want to do whatever will help make as minimal a delay in Ottawa processing our application as possible...

Right now I am thinking to just wait for the FBI prints, and wait until I hear from the CIC. If the prints haven't arrived by then I will send proof that we are waiting and ask for an extension to get the prints to them. What do you think?

I would wait for them to request your prints. Hopefully you have them by then. I also am waiting for mine from the FBI.

I have sponsoring my spouse and we sent (outside) application on October 15, a week later CIC sent the application back to us. We did corrections and re-applied the application on November 20. Today, January 21 2016, I received email from CIC saying that "Your application has been received by CIC."

Can anybody explain the next steps of my application and how long will it take to complete the entire process?
My spouse and I am currently living in Ontario for many years and she is pregnant!!
I would be more than happy if my spouse can get PR before she gives a birth to a baby, so we do not have to pay 15,000 CAD to the hospital

Any advise would be appreciated.
Thanks fellas!

Impossible to say how long it will take without knowing what visa office it will be going to for starters. And from there you're best of finding the spreadsheet for that visa office on this forum and seeing how long it is taking people recently going through that VO
