The wait is finally over. I received my PR card last week. My wife's card arrived a week before mine.

This forum really helped a lot. I will be around to help others.

Similar case like me.

It is because IO from CPC-O has "Recommended Interview" in your case. As CPC-O doesn't conduct an interview, NVYO does it on CPC-O's behalf.

This is what going to happen.
- You will receive document request from NVYO within a month
- You may also receive MR along with document request but that doesn't mean you have passed your eligibility unless mentioned in email.
- You will receive interview invitation directly.

Mostly, it will be second one.

If IO is satisfied with documents you sent then they will proceed further, if not then they will call you for interview.

Order GCMS notes to see reason for file transfer. Mostly it will be related to your employment or marriage (if it was before you applied)

P.S. I am not trying to scare you, but just letting you know about next step so you can be prepared.

I guess in your case the file is transferred to NY - IO at the beginning of the process but in my case most of the process is completed and then it is transferred.

May i know in this case i feel i may get an "interview" or else please advise, your help is much appreciated.
and also may i know if it is interview, is it a telephonic or face to face interview?

Completed my landing procedures at Toronto Pearson International Airport on Feb 23, 2015. It took just 10 minutes to complete formalities. Got SIN updated right there (Terminal 1).

If it is one on one then i do not have the valid visa post April and My wife even do not have US visa......if it is face to face then my situation is messy!!

I am still waiting the Request Passport as you are. Furthermore, I had received a refusal letter one and half month ago. Immediately, I contacted to my region's MP to reconsider my application. Fortunately, two weeks ago, I have received an additional documents requested letter, 2 years residence address history and RE-Open my application. Processing permanent residence visa makes me very sick. I hope that the end of long process might be finished by June this year.

Hi San, no body can understands the CIC process to issue the PR in most of the cases and it is very complex too to understand. But do not worry and send the information required, hope everything will be fine for you.

i was also in a different situation till yesterday. luckily i have received the PPR request after a long wait.

Vanaparthi, who was the last officer who reviewed your case? I am just wondering because my friend who is an October 2013 applicant still waiting for background check after medicals requested and done last June 2014! That person got stuck in the process for too long. The MP wasnt being that helpful even after some inquiries, and contacting CIC havent been fruitful either.
