November 2011 applicants

First of all, congratulations to all Novemberians who are getting closer to the final stage!

I am very anxious with my application but excited too.

The stats are as follows:

- Medical: October 15, 2011
- Sent : November 23, 2011
- Received (Mississauga): November 24, 2011
- AOR: January 16, 2011
- Approval for Sponsorship / file sent to Buffalo: January 23, 2011

Hey guys, I was received my approval letter via email today! Yay! I met the qualifications and the file has been transfered to our visa office, which is Kingston,Jamaica.......WOOOOOOHOOOOO!

I prepared our file in the most zealous way possible and sent it at the beginning of November - more precisely, I got the confirmation of delivery by the Post on the 9th of November. I've seen your updates go by and not a single word for us. Today that the date of treatment of our file passed by and we finally had the right to call and inquiry, we found out that they lost our file.

I still don't know whether we are supposed to prepare another file, or how long it would take for our case to be processed afterwards.

All I can say is that I'm devastated.

How do you know they lost it ?? a friend of mine sent her application oct 16th and only last week did they finally let her know that thy had it!!!! they kept saying that there is nothing in the system weeks after their processing date passed.

They said there wasn't any trace of my file whatsoever besides the payment and told us to get back to them in the next 2 or 3 months, but didn't want to answer whether I should prepare another file (considering the current processing time, it's less than the three months he told us to wait).

So in your opinion it's possible that they find it? Or maybe I will wait indefinitely only to have them tell me that there's nothing they can do. The waiting is already so frustrating under the normal conditions. There's no way I don't feel negative about this thing.

I feel guilty for not having applied for PR on my own last year when we decided to come (we thought it'd be quicker to do it through sponsorship). It'd be likely to arrive by June this year.

Omg, I am so sorry to hear that!! I can't imagine what my reaction would be if I was told my file was lost. Are they absolutely certain that it's lost? I would try calling a few more times, speak to several different agents. I've read from other posts that different people give different answers (strange but true). Don't give up hope just yet!

Hi sunrise9. I checked my CAS but it only has my name. Maybe my case is a little more complicated, or maybe I made a mistake as I
filled out the forms myself. Anyway I remain positive and am sure will have good news soon.

Oh agga, I am so so sorry. I would also be devastated. I agree with the others, I say call a few more times. See if you can get another answer, telling you to wait three months...wow. That's just insane.
